Copeland's Hit Streak Over Monday, April 9th , 2040 Seton Hall triumphed over Pittsburgh today, but that was only one of the headlines from the game -- Rampage center fielder Patrick Copeland failed to get a hit in the 5-3 win, bringing his 21-game hitting streak to an abrupt end. "I carried the club a few times over the past couple weeks, but today they carried me," he told reporters in his postgame remarks. "No matter what else happens, it is always good to win a ballgame." This year Copeland is hitting .338 with 3 home runs and 16 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .378 clip and scored 19 runs. |
