Acevedo Raps Arizona for 5 Hits Wednesday, April 25th , 2040 It was a magical day at the plate for UCLA Chili Peppers shortstop Martín Acevedo. The 19-year-old Acevedo helped lift UCLA to a 10-3 win over the Arizona Lutes today at Chili Peppers Ballpark. Acevedo smacked 5 hits in 5 at-bats to spark his club to victory. Martín Acevedo doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Stan Cox in the 8th.
