Villanova Devastated by Playoff Elimination Tuesday, May 1st , 2040 A close finish won't make it any easier for the Villanova Starbursts to end their season early. The club has now been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention for the 2040 season. "There were some things broken and some things said that are not repeatable," Starbursts manager Bill Hill. This is the club's 4th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2036. In total, the Starbursts have missed the playoffs 26 times in their 34-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Starbursts have missed the playoffs 7 times. Villanova last won the USCBA Championship Series in 2021. |
