Done Deal: Romano for Escalante Thursday, November 3rd , 2039 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the Nezahualcoyotl Coyotes and the Leon Zapateros have agreed to a deal that will have 22-year old LHP Ernesto Peña and 21-year old LHP Carlos Romano heading to Leon in exchange for 26-year old RHP Luis Escalante. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. This season Escalante has recorded a 2-5 won-lost mark, pitched in 31 relief appearances and rung up 12 saves. He has a 4.09 ERA and has allowed 35 hits over his 33 innings of work, struck out 27 batters and walked 12. |
