Nezahualcoyotl Swaps López to Ciudad Juarez for Martínez Saturday, November 5th , 2039 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Coyotes announced today the acquisition of 27-year old CF Edgardo Martínez and 20-year old RHP Jorge Cardenas from the Ciudad Juarez Velas in exchange for 37-year old 1B Manny López and 20-year old RHP Ignacio Padilla. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Coyotes, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." This year López is hitting .204 with 1 home run. This year Martínez is hitting .194 with no home runs and 4 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .216 clip and scored 2 runs. |
