Lima Is ABSF-MEX's Top Rookie Monday, January 2nd , 2040 This year's outstanding newcomer has been selected and the honor goes to the Naucalpan rookie Carlos Lima -- the recipient of the 2039 Alianza Beisbol Al Sur de la Frontera Newcomer of the Year Award. The talented Cafe Tacvbas first baseman took the trophy by hitting .250 in 104 games this season and finished with 103 hits, 24 home runs, 59 RBIs and 50 runs scored. He received 10 first place votes out of a possible 16. Miguel Morán of the Guadalajara Chivas Rayadas finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Gerardo Arroyo of the Ciudad Juarez Velas finished third with 2 first place votes.
