Puerto Plata Rookie Hurls His Way to LDBI-DOM WL Honor Thursday, December 1st , 2039 It was a trophy-winning month for Roberto Mercayo of the Puerto Plata Playas Dorada. He started 5 games and came away with 3 wins and the Liga Dominicana de Beisbol Invernal Rookie of the Month award. For the month of November the 26-year-old Mercayo recorded a 3-1 won-lost mark with a 3.06 ERA and 16 strikeouts in 35.1 innings. So far this year Mercayo has a 8-3 record with a 2.85 ERA. |
