Done Deal: Gómez for Russell Sunday, January 22nd , 2040 The Chinook and Loggers pulled the trigger on a deal that will see 29-year old 1B Roy Gómez and 23-year old LF Michael Moir head to Tacoma in exchange for 36-year old RHP Joe Russell and $1,360,000 in cash. A source close to Portland officials said, "The teams spent long hours coming to the agreement and in the end, both agreed the deal should help both clubs." Lifetime Gómez has hit .233 with 239 hits, 15 home runs, 104 RBIs and scored 117 runs. So far in Russell's career, the 36-year-old starter has won 6 and lost 12, collecting 103 strikeouts with a 3.71 ERA. Opponents have hit .267 against him. |
