Gwangju's Kobayashi Sidelined for Season Friday, April 6th , 2040 The doctors have spoken and Kiyohira Kobayashi of the Gwangju Jade Tigers didn't like what he heard. The 21-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Kobayashi sustained his season-ending injury during the Kure Arsenal game yesterday at Spring Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Gwangju medical staff reported Kobayashi had a fractured elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 7 months. |
