Wang Hits 3 Homers Against Hobart Saturday, August 7th , 2038 Auckland first baseman Minh-Tong Wang blasted three homers today at Devils Ballpark in the 11-4 Aces BC victory over the Hobart Devils. For the game, Minh-Tong Wang scored 3 times and knocked in 4 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Wang when he reached home plate. "It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 3-for-5, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Wang told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day." Minh-Tong Wang struck out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Micheal McShane in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Micheal McShane in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off James Chaundy in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. To date Wang has chalked up a .241 average with 16 home runs, driven in 30 runs and scored 31 times. |
