Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Monday, August 23rd , 2038 Gilberto Gonzáles of Santo Domingo and Boyd Braun of Charlotte Amalie were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Gonzáles will have to miss 4 games for his part in the brawl, while Braun was given 9 games. League officials announced their suspensions today. This year Gonzáles is batting .215 with 7 home runs and 23 RBIs. In 61 games he has scored 19 times. His record this year is 0-1 in 0 starts and Braun has a 5.40 ERA. |
