Big Bang! 3 HR for Port Sudan's Peters Saturday, July 9th , 2039 Port Sudan Tycoons third baseman Tom Peters had a magnificent game against the Asmara Modernists today, rocketing three balls out of Tagliero Stadium to help the Tycoons take the 17-2 victory. "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes." For the game, Peters went 4-for-6 with 8 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Port Sudan manager Pedro Barrón said later. "Seems like Tom found his home run stroke today." Tom Peters grounded out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Aaron Gledhill in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Noel Lambright in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Noel Lambright in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. In 18 games this season Peters has batted at a .212 pace with 14 hits and 9 home runs. |
