Bad Behavior Costs López and Memoto Saturday, July 30th , 2039 Yesterday at Pusan Field Manuel López and Tsuginori Memoto got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Busan Whales and Gohueng Gom. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that López will have to sit out 3 while Memoto would be given a 6-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. So far in 2039 López is batting .219 with 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has 25 hits in 114 at-bats and a .270 OBP. This year Memoto has a 2-1 record and a 2.41 ERA. |
