Clow Belts 3 HR for Raiders Tuesday, August 16th , 2039 Bailey Clow went yard three times in a Khartoum Raiders victory over the Cairo Pharaohs at Ramses II Ballpark today. "I was in a groove," he said. "Every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit." For the day, the Khartoum designated hitter went 3-for-5 against Cairo with 8 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the Raiders to the 15-3 win. "I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out." Bailey Clow struck out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Gil Lamas in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Tom Darrel in the 4th, struck out in the 5th and hit a three-run home run off Armando García in the 7th. Currently Clow is batting .300 with 18 home runs, 32 RBIs and 28 runs scored. |
