McDonald Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Sunday, August 21st , 2039 There was no storybook ending. Norm McDonald of the Muju Naturalists socked it to the visiting Gohueng Gom with a terrific 5-hit game today, but his team didn't get the win. The Naturalists fell, 8-5, at Bandi Land Ballpark. "I don't want to sound ungrateful, but something is missing here," McDonald complained following the loss. "When you have a great game you should win the game, too." He definitely had an unforgettable day in the batter's box, ripping out 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Muju manager Shingen Okamoto sympathized with his left fielder, telling BNN reporters after the game that "Norm played a whale of a game, but sometimes individual brilliance is not enough." Norm McDonald doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and walked in the 10th.
