Asmara Playoff Hopes Officially Zero Tuesday, September 13th , 2039 Even the most die-hard fans of the Asmara Modernists will likely now start focusing on next year. The team was today mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. "We're disappointed," said Modernists first baseman Bertrand Trelawny. "Not just for ourselves, but also for the fans that stick with us every year." This is the club's 2nd playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2037. In total, the Modernists have missed the playoffs 6 times in their 10-year history. |
