Kiyomizu Gets Award for Relief Work

He may only be 21, but Kuniaki Kiyomizu of the Muju Naturalists has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the Intercontinental Baseball Coalition.

The reliever was today named the IBC Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2039.

He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 3 saves in 24 relief appearances and 99 strikeouts in 53 innings. He had a record of 1-2 to go with his 2.04 ERA.

He received 28 first place votes out of a possible 32. Chong-yeol Kun of the Brisbane Stevedores finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Mulia Simbolon of the Melbourne Bitters finished third.
