The Taipei Wardens beat the Fushigi Yugi Celestial Warriors, 5-1, at Brown Bears Ballpark. Starting pitcher Van Frazier was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Taipei, at 17-21, holds down 4th place in the Trinity.

Taipei used a well-timed hit by Ángel Flores to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Wardens ahead, 4-1. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

Frazier attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
