The Bismarck Battleships got a stellar performance from pitcher Brad Hamilton, who handcuffed the Kingston offense en route to a win, 3-0, at Battleships Ballpark. In 5.1 innings, Hamilton surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 5. He allowed no runs. Manuel Elías got the save, the 7th for him this season.
Making an impact for the home team was Emílio Castro. In the bottom of the sixth, the 19-year old center fielder had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 2-0, Battleships.
"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Hamilton.
Bismarck, at 16-20, sits in 5th place in the Amber Waves League Big Sky.
