Noriega Raps Skagway for 5 Hits
Claudio Noriega put on a hitting clinic today as the Whitehorse Explorers dumped the Skagway Prospectors 15-2 at Prospector Park.

The Whitehorse third baseman made Skagway defenders earn their pay, lashing Skagway pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Noriega said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Claudio Noriega flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Rubén Rivas in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jorge Pérez in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Hollis Wilson in the 9th.

For the year Noriega has hit at a .342 clip with 25 RBIs, 8 home runs and 11 runs scored.
