Phillips Delivers Walk-Off Win for Traders
In a high-scoring contest between Kenai and Taku, second baseman Francisco Cruz was a difference-maker. Cruz, who is tied for 9th in the AL in home runs with 7, distinguished himself in the 11-8 Kenai win. He hit 3 home runs, while scoring 4 and driving in 5. The Traders, now 15-7, have been red hot.

Tom Phillips was the walk-off hero for Kenai. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Traders right fielder hit a dramatic 3-run home run to send the teams home.

Phillips told the Kenai Today: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
