Cy-Fair HS Gets 3-2 Win
|
Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the Blanchard HS Ligers home opener. Wesley Kessler started for the home team against Preston Willis for the Cy-Fair HS Bobcats. The Ligers were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 3-2, Cy-Fair HS. Preston Willis, though, was impressive. Earning his 1st save for Cy-Fair HS was Bobby LeBlanc.
Luis Castro provided a timely hit. The Cy-Fair HS second baseman delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the sixth inning to put the Bobcats on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Blanchard HS manager Nick Kuhn.
