Union City HS pitcher Quinn Benson did his part in helping his team beat the Benedictine Prep HS Infantrymen, 4-1. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Paul Danagher recorded his 3rd save for Union City HS. The Hillers improve their record to 11-4 with the win over Benedictine Prep HS.

Sergio Nevárez dealt the Infantrymen a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Union City HS leading 1-0, Nevárez, who is tied for 8th in the EL in stolen bases with 3, hit a first pitch changeup for a run-scoring single.
