Hillers Use Late Rally to Win 4th Straight
The Union City HS Hillers electrified the home crowd with a walk-off win.

The Moody HS Trojans wasted an inspired, 6.1-inning effort from starter Augusto Chávez, falling 2-1 to the Union City HS Hillers at Union City HS & Athletic Complex. Union City HS pitcher Tony Gonzáles got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Wesley McNeal got the loss.

The Hillers were down to their final out when designated hitter Dave Bates turned a 2-0 fastball from Wesley McNeal into a 2-run single. The walk-off single made the Union City HS & Athletic Complex crowd go wild.

"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Bates said.

The first-place Hillers have won 4 straight games.
