The Winter Springs HS Bears beat the Benedictine Prep HS Infantrymen, 7-3, at Field of the Bears. Winter Springs HS center fielder Jon Baker collected 1 single and 1 double, while driving in 2 runs. Lance Caldwell locked down his 1st save. The Bears sit in second place in the Eastern League Gulf Conference with a record of 15-11.

Baker contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Winter Springs HS in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-2, Baker took a cutter from Don Rivera and stroked the double to center. His 4th double of the season allowed the Bears to leap in front, 4-3.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Baker.
