Multi-HR Day for Terry as Buccaneers Overpower Ligers, 4-1
The Barbe HS Buccaneers topped the Blanchard HS Ligers, 4-1, with left fielder Eric Terry playing a big role. Terry hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Buccaneers in the win. Barbe HS reliever José Tamayo picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Luis Peña was tagged with the loss. Dan Harris collected save number 9.

Terry had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 0-1 changeup from Luis Peña, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Buccaneers a 3-1 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for Terry.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Terry told the Barbe HS Chronicle.

The second-place Buccaneers sport a record of 16-9.
