Jaguars Stick Cavaliers with 3-1 Loss
|
The Annapolis HS Jaguars downed the East Rutherford HS Cavaliers, 3-1, at East Rutherford HS Grounds. Steve Humbley led the way, going 3-for-4 for Annapolis HS. With the win, the Jaguars improved to 17-9.
Annapolis HS used the bat of Kent Halyburton to capture the win. The first baseman jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Jaguars ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Jaguars manager Timothy Hall, "I like our chances."
