Taku catcher Harry Bell had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Bell hit 2 home runs, even as Fairbanks beat the Winds, 9-4. Taku is in the throes of a 9-game skid.

Dean Taylor aided the Fairbanks cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk.

"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Taku skipper Joe Buchanan.
