Imperialists Spoil Opening Day for Storks, Their Fans
Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the Yasu Storks home opener. Sosa Harada started for the home team against Bob Brewster for the Ewa Beach Imperialists. The Storks were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 5-4, Ewa Beach. Sosa Harada, though, was impressive. Bob Brewster, the winning pitcher, improved to 1-0. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 8 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 9 and walking 0. Bud Graham earned the save for Ewa Beach, his 1st of the year.

Ewa Beach used the timely hitting of Pablo Alonzo to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Imperialists on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Ewa Beach manager Jonathan Cook.
