The exploits of designated hitter Aiden MacBrayne helped the Kobayashi Fireflies defeat the Atsumi Autobots, 6-2. MacBrayne was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Picking up the win was Lorenzo Castaneda. He went 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits. The right--hander struck out 4 and walked 2. The Fireflies, now 6-3, have played some good baseball in the early going.

It could have been a different outcome for Kobayashi, had it not been for Máximo Sánchez, the 21-year old second baseman . Sánchez contributed a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Kobayashi up, 6-0.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Sánchez told the Kobayashi Bulletin.
