The Benedictine Prep HS Infantrymen defeated the Blanchard HS Ligers, 8-3, in Eastern League action at Goochland Ballpark. Benedictine Prep HS pitcher Bill Cramer had a standout performance. Ernesto Morales, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. The last-place Infantrymen improved to 12-21.

George Collins hit a bases-clearing double off Alonso Kaiser in the bottom of the second, which put the Infantrymen in front, 3-1. In addition to the double, Collins had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Cramer said.
