The Annapolis HS Jaguars got a stellar performance from pitcher Lee Hale, who handcuffed the DeSoto Central HS offense en route to a win, 3-0, at DeSoto Central Grounds. Hale picked up the win for Annapolis HS, going 5.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. Dan Morgan closed the door for Annapolis HS, picking up his 10th save of the year.
Annapolis HS used the bat of Kurt Rice to capture the win. The first baseman jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Jaguars ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Rice told the Annapolis HS Observer.
The Jaguars move to 25-21 with the win, while the Panthers drop to 25-21.
