Koshin Lifts Mahi-Mahi to 9-2 Win
The home crowd had a good time watching the Kobayashi Fireflies and Maui Mahi-Mahi get after it.

Behind a solid performance from left fielder Masaki Koshin, the Maui Mahi-Mahi defeated the Kobayashi Fireflies, 9-2. Koshin went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Mahi-Mahi. The second-place Mahi-Mahi go to 25-19.

Maui took a 5-2 lead on Koshin's 15th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Walton Kirtley in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Maui to the win.

"They played a better game than we did," said Kobayashi skipper Patrick Wells.
