The Rio Rancho HS Goats weathered an outstanding game by Rocky Mountain HS first baseman David Cook to topple the Grizzlies, 4-2. Cook went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. Martin Dickey, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits.

Robert Morales, who is the top prospect in the Goats organization, chipped in for Rio Rancho HS with a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.

After the game, Rio Rancho HS manager Jim Hill applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
