The Taitung HS Hermits bested the Tainan City HS Old Guard, 6-4, at Old Guard Field. Hi-yuan Chong was one of the standouts. He went 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Lorenzo Méndez, now 1-1, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 1 and walking 0. The Hermits sit in first place in the Pacific Conference Pan Asia Division with a record of 18-9.
The most important at-bat for Taitung HS came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out, Jorge Navarro reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 2 runs, putting Taitung HS up, 5-4.
