Round 1 Goes the Distance, Bowness HS Prevails

After their 1-0 win today at Bowness HS Ballpark over the Canuck HS Battlecats, the Bowness HS Spartans will advance to the Round 2. Bowness HS won the series by a 4-3 margin.
Leading the way for the Spartans was left fielder Yuda Ananas, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP.
"I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus."
The Bowness HS Spartans will play against the Nassau HS Coasters in the next round. Nassau HS won their series against the Matanzas HS El Poeta 4 games to 3. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.

Nassau HS Takes Round 1 in Deciding Game

It took a while, but the Nassau HS Coasters finally disposed of the Matanzas HS El Poeta 3-2 in the series clincher at Nassau Ballpark.
Winning the finale gave the Coasters the series, 4-3. They will now advance to the Round 2.
The Most Valuable Player Award went to Nassau HS shortstop Iemitsu Miyamoto. He batted .389 in the series, collecting 9 RBIs and scoring 4 runs.
The Nassau HS Coasters don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Canuck HS Battlecats - Bowness HS Spartans series. That series is tied at 3 games apiece. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
