The Rocky Mountain HS Grizzlies picked up a win at Mankato Park, knocking off the Mankato West HS Reds, 3-1. On the mound for Rocky Mountain HS was right-hander Fred Bowman, who played a pivotal role in the win. Bowman got the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 2 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. Bowman allowed no runs.

Joel Leslie, the 16-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Leslie contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Rocky Mountain HS up, 1-0.

"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager Aurelio López.
