Late Rally by Grizzlies Seals 8th Straight Win
|
The Rocky Mountain HS Grizzlies went home winners at Mankato Park, thanks in large part to starter Joshua Hansen. Hansen stifled the Mankato West HS Reds, enabling Rocky Mountain HS to grab the 3-1 win. Chip Hernández earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. His record is now 1-0. Mike Frost recorded the save, his 1st.
Rocky Mountain HS used the timely hitting of Edward Gould to capture the win. The pinch hitter socked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Grizzlies ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.
"We're just feeding off each other right now," said Hansen.
Rocky Mountain HS has now reeled off 8 straight wins.
