The Kilauea Volcanoes defeated the Lana'i City Pineapples, 5-3. Doing his part was designated hitter Tsuginori Kamida, who belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Ken Holman earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record is now 4-1. The losses continue to add up for Lana'i City, which has now fallen 8 times in a row.
Kilauea took a 5-3 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With two out, second baseman Dermott Douglass hit a 3-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"There are times you get yourself out and there are times you come through," Douglass said. "That's how it goes."
