No one was more impactful than Falley L'ami in the 8-7 Maui win over Yasu. L'ami was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Maui reliever Pedro Aguilar was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Pedro Lugo took the loss. Jack Reid earned save number 4 this season.

A critical at-bat came in the bottom of the seventh inning when the Mahi-Mahi sent 21-year-old shortstop Bill Rucker to the plate with the bases loaded. The youngster shook off the pressure and hit a sacrifice fly, to put Maui on top, 8-7.

"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Yasu manager Jeff Cline. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."

At 32-33, the Mahi-Mahi find themselves in third place in the Hawaiian League Archipelago.
