The 2039 season is going from bad to worse for Lana'i City.

The Ewa Beach Imperialists defeated the Lana'i City Pineapples, 10-4, in Hawaiian League action at Dole Park. Ewa Beach pitcher Tetsuzan Hashimoto had a standout performance. In 7 innings, Hashimoto surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 10 and walking 3. He allowed 3 runs.

It could have been a different outcome for Ewa Beach, had it not been for Carlos Martínez, the 22-year old shortstop . Martínez contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Ewa Beach up, 3-2.

"We take it day by day here," said Martínez, "and today was a good one for us."

The Imperialists' win now puts them at 49-17.
