Ewa Beach designated hitter Li-hong Kin contributed to his team's 9-3 win over the Kauai Monsters. Kin went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Imperialists. The save went to Troy Thomas, his 6th this season. Ewa Beach, at 55-19, holds down first place in the Hawaiian League Aloha.

Ewa Beach needed the clutch hitting of Ernesto Puente to notch the win. The shortstop hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Imperialists on top, 6-3. For the game, Puente had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

Kin told a Ewa Beach Daily reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
