The umbrellas came out during the Tokoha Gakuen Kikugawa HS-Manila HS contest at Jiten Stadium.

Dave LeBlanc pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Manila HS Water Buffalo, despite LeBlanc's fine outing, dropped a 2-1 decision to the Tokoha Gakuen Kikugawa HS Jiten at Jiten Stadium. Tokoha Gakuen Kikugawa HS reliever Shigekazu Uchida picked up the win to move to 3-0. Dave LeBlanc suffered the loss.

The Jiten got a big at-bat from first baseman Takao Samurakami. For the game, Samurakami went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 5th double of the season gave Tokoha Gakuen Kikugawa HS a 2-1 lead.

Samurakami called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
