Trawlers Suffer 1-0 Setback
Behind an impressive start by Shirai Matsumura, Kisarazu Sogo HS beat Port Lincoln HS, 1-0. Kisarazu Sogo HS reliever Hitoshi Kouyama was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Fraser Newitt. Nobukazu Sakata earned the save, his 1st.

Kisarazu Sogo HS grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Tadayoshi Nakamura delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 1-0 in favor of the Ninja.

"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Matsumura told the Kisarazu Sogo HS Times.

Kisarazu Sogo HS is now 22-17, while Port Lincoln HS is 27-12.
