Jorge Benigue knocked in all 3 runs for the Taitung HS Hermits, helping them beat the Zhoushan HS Islanders, 3-0. Lorenzo Méndez got credit for the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. The win for the Hermits raised their record to 27-14.

Benigue had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-1 changeup from Ying-hua Geng, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Hermits a 3-0 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Benigue.

"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Benigue.
