Spartans Best Hounds in Pitching Duel
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Bowness HS Spartans and the Point Grey HS Hounds, pitcher Craig Hurley was the difference between victory and defeat. The Bowness HS right-hander earned accolades in the 2-1 Spartans win. Hurley, now 1-1, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 9, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. Picking up the save was Ed Cunningham, his 2nd.
