Late Magic Gets Matanzas HS 6-4 Win
Daniel Aguilar was a vital contributor to the 6-4 Matanzas HS victory over Canuck HS. The El Poeta third baseman was 2-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Matanzas HS reliever Finn van Duijn was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Nobusuke Yoshida took the loss. Roberto Flores nailed down his 2nd save.

Aguilar had a game-changing double in the top of the ninth. On a first pitch fastball from Nobusuke Yoshida, he banged a 2-run double to left, giving the El Poeta a 6-4 lead. It was the 3rd double of the year for Aguilar.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Aguilar, "and then get after it again."

Matanzas HS is now 5-4.
