The Yasu Storks beat the Kobayashi Fireflies, 8-1. Yasu pitcher and Bajos de Haina, Dominican Republic, native Jorge Mata led the way. Mata, now 3-5, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 1 run.

The Storks grabbed the lead in the bottom of the fifth. With two out, Mark Matthews hit a grand slam home run off Mark Allen, putting Yasu in front, 8-0. For Matthews, it was his 10th home run of the season.
