Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Pineapples

The home crowd had a good time watching the Mauna Loa Vulcans and Lana'i City Pineapples get after it.
The Lana'i City Pineapples scored a tight 4-3 win versus the Mauna Loa Vulcans at Dole Park. Lana'i City pitcher Pung-cho Yu held his own in the contest. Lana'i City is now 25-52. Mauna Loa is 38-39.
Byron Price found himself in a pressure situation in the bottom of the tenth. Facing Mauna Loa hurler Emílio López, the 21-year-old first baseman drew a walk, driving in 1 run. His 36th walk of the season put the Pineapples on top, 4-3.
Afterward, Price deflected to his teammates. "Heck of an effort all around," he said.
