Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Swamp Dragons
|
Osakasayama Swamp Dragons starter Noboru Kogawa turned in a top-notch performance against the Hilo Hoops at Hilo Ballpark. The result was a win for the Swamp Dragons, 5-0. Osakasayama, now 56-28, holds down first place in the Hawaiian League Ninja.
Osakasayama used a clutch hit from Michael Eubank to get the win. The designated hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Swamp Dragons ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
Eubank called the triumph "a good team win."
